Budget/TaxesBudget/Taxes
The people of Washington County deserve honesty, accountability, and responsible leadership—especially when it comes to how their hard-earned tax dollars are spent.
I believe in full transparency so residents can clearly see where every dollar goes. Government should never operate in the shadows when it is spending the public’s money. This includes NGO's paid for by the county
Just as important, we must stop the cycle of overspending. Year after year the county has operated millions of dollars in the red. That is not sustainable, and it ultimately leads to reduced services for residents or higher taxes to cover the gap. Families and businesses cannot run their finances this way—and neither should our county government.
I will stand firmly against raising taxes to cover irresponsible spending. The answer is not to ask residents to pay more; the answer is to manage the budget better.
What concerns me most is that my opponents supported policies that diverted significant county resources away from the needs of Washington County residents, including using non-replaceable emergency funds that should be preserved for true crises. When leadership drains emergency reserves and continues spending beyond its means, it leaves taxpayers exposed and future services at risk.
Washington County needs leadership that will protect taxpayer dollars, prioritize residents, and restore fiscal responsibility.
I will fight to rein in wasteful spending, bring accountability back to county government, and ensure that every decision made reflects the interests of the people who live and work here.
If you believe in transparent government, responsible budgets, and leadership that puts Washington County first, I ask for your support and your vote.

Affordable HousingAffordable Housing
- Streamline regulations and bureaucratic hurdles to expedite building
- Control and manage excessive land development taxes
- Open more land for building
Collaborating with Metro to expand the urban growth boundary is imperative for our county's future. With its natural beauty and allure, our county continues to draw in new residents each year. However, it's essential to balance this growth with the preservation of our agricultural and open lands. We must adopt a forward-thinking approach to urban planning, focusing on long-term solutions rather than short-sighted fixes.
A diverse range of housing options needs to be developed to accommodate the evolving needs of our community. Excessive fees and regulatory hurdles imposed on builders only serve to inflate costs, which are ultimately passed on to buyers and renters. By streamlining regulations and reducing fees, we can foster a more conducive environment for housing development. This, coupled with an increased availability of housing options, has the potential to alleviate some of the pricing pressures in the market.

Drug Addiction and HomelessnessDrug Addiction and Homelessness
Washington County must take a more effective and realistic approach to addressing drug addiction and homelessness—one that focuses on real solutions and real outcomes.
First, we must establish programs that truly deter recidivism and drug use. Treatment programs should focus on recovery, accountability, job training, and reintegration into society so individuals can rebuild their lives and become productive members of the community.
While numerous organizations and programs operate in this space, most lack meaningful accountability for results. Too often, funding continues regardless of whether programs actually help people recover, gain stability, or move forward in life.
Simply expanding programs and spending more money is not the answer. If that were the case, the problem would already be solved.
That is why I support a practical, results-driven strategy that prioritizes treatment, training, and pathways back into the workforce so individuals can regain dignity and independence.
At the same time, I strongly oppose placing no-barrier homeless pod sites in residential neighborhoods.
Washington County can address homelessness and addiction with compassion, accountability, and common sense. With my leadership, we can create solutions that help people rebuild their lives while also protecting the safety and stability of our neighborhoods.
