STOP the Spending!
My name is Jenny Kamprath, and I’m running for Washington County Chair because I’m fed up—and I know many of you are too.
I’m not an entrenched incumbent, and I’m not running to protect the status quo. I’m running because Washington County residents deserve leadership that will stop the overspending, say NO to new taxes, and make county government listen to the people who are paying the bills For too long, county leaders have treated taxpayers like a bottomless piggy bank. Year after year they raise taxes while the county blows past its budget. Then they turn around and claim they need even more of your money just to keep police on the streets and libraries open. That isn’t responsible government—it’s reckless spending and failed priorities.
We must stop the cycle of tax-and-spend government. Citizens and businesses must live within their means, and county government should too. As Chair I will initiate an audit and I will push to eliminate waste, cut bloated bureaucracy, and slash the red tape that drives up housing costs, burdens local businesses, and slows economic growth and livability for all.
Public safety must come first. Residents are rightly frustrated when violent offenders are released because of limited legal resources while tax dollars are directed to current commissioners’ ideological pursuits.
This campaign has no bureaucratic or organizational endorsements. It’s powered by the people. I’m not beholden to political insiders or special interests—I will answer to the citizens of Washington County and under my leadership you WILL be heard.
